How is SAP positioning IBP vis a vis APO ? As it appears on the ground, IBP is being pushed as a wondrous top class, colorful, slick, cloud based and what not planning platform by the salesmen of SAP who love their Hawaii trips, almost to the point of making it sound that APO is history. I have had a CIO prospect change his mind to something completely non-SAP because of conflicting messaging and positioning campaign in this APS space. They wanted to do some new work on APO shelf-ware.
Is SAP sales doing anything about this ? I am only interested in saving embarrassing moments for myself and not really about peddling SAP apps which incidentally is one of the sources of livelihood. I only propose what is worthy of peaceful use of solution.
