Hi Karol,
I worked on it and its done now. It seemed complicated than it actually was. Since am neither used to this tool , nor to the bookmark functionality in any other BO tool, it got me confused. So had posted it here and was very desperate to find a solution to it. Thanks for your suggestions and solutions so far.
There was complete change in the required functionality so had to open a new thread on it.
For understanding lets call the list box as panel 1
selection panel as 2
and save bookmark panel as 3
The list box with the tab names (this acts like a tab strip) in each of those tabs few selections are there as shown in panel 2. When one label in list box, clicked that particular selections are displayed in panel 2 , and as the selections are done in panel 2 and the save bookmark button is clicked, the selections should be automatically saved without a "save bookmark as" prompt to the user.
The name of the bookmark(save bookmark as) is now taken the get selected member from list box.
Now, when another tab, suppose label 2, in the list box is clicked and selections are done, and save bookmark is clicked for this tab, the previous bookmark should be replaced by this one (again without a prompt to the user).
But internally the bookmarks for these tabs should be maintained. When user click on any of the previous selections the related bookmark for it ( having the selections in the components ) should be automatically loaded.
When the user makes any new selection in the list box and which is not in bookmarks, only for that bookmark will not be there. But any selection in the change in prev tabs and the bookmark is saved, then that particular tab's bookmark should be updated with the current selection.
However, it is achieved now.
Thanks & Regards,
Sara
