Re: Open Tickets - No Active Assignments

Hi,

 

I understand now.  If a ticket status is Open and has an Active Assignment, you do not want to see it on the report.  You only want the tickets that only have Closed Assignments.

 

This is a little harder because we should be getting the database to do a little more work for us before bringing it into Crystal.  To do what you want, Crystal would have to bring in all the tickets with all the Assignment Statuses and then determine afterwards which of these tickets do not have an Active Assignment and list only those.

 

That requires a second processing of the data.  I would recommend having a view or Stored Procedure that would do this for you.

 

So your query would need to get all the Open Tickets and loop through each of the ticket's assignments.  If it finds an Active assignment then exclude that ticket completely.  This is the part that Crystal can't do for you.
